UFC ABC 2
Main Card
Augusto Sakai v. Jarzino Rozenstruik - This is an interesting clash of styles. Both are primarily stand up fighters, I don’t see this hitting the mat unless someone gets dropped and they find themselves on top. Neither grapples much at all and Rozen has never shot a TD in the UFC. Sakai is much higher volume than Rozenstruik is, but Rozenstruik has the power advantage. I see Sakai just being able to do more every round and land more - Sakai via decision
Walt Harris v. Marcin Tybura - Harris is usually 1st round KO or bust, and this fight is no different. Tybura has been KO’d a couple of times, and Harris has the power to put him away. However, Tybura is streaking right now and took some big shots from Hardy and didn’t go down. I see Tybura surviving the 1st and taking over from there, getting control time against the fence, hitting takedowns, and overwhelming Harris on the feet eventually - Tybura Round 3 TKO
Tom Breese v. Antonio Arroyo - Personally, this one seems trickier than most think. If Breese actually went for takedowns I’d like him much more, as we have seen a huge hole in Arroyo’s TDD and ability to get back up. This will take part on the feet for the most part, where Breese will have the boxing advantage, and Arroyo the kicking advantage. Arroyo gasses hard after that 1st round which is a huge concern. I see a competitive 1st round, then from there I see Breese taking over as Arroyo slows down and starts picking him apart with his boxing - Breese via Round 2 sub
Santiago Ponzinibbio v. Miguel Baeza - If this fight was before the layoff and injury, I would probably take Ponz here. But, the best days of Ponz are probably behind him as we saw in his last bout. Ring rust is a real thing, and a long lay off and brutal injury, impacted Ponz’s fight ability in a huge way. This fight with the undfeated Baeza will be no easier. Baeza uses distance very well and is controlled which is big here. He won’t get wreckless and give Ponz a chance to find a big shot. I also like Baeza’s leg kicks and body kicks a lot which will pay dividends here for sure. Baeza also has the boxing advantage at this point as well - Baeza via Round 2 TKO
Roman Dolidze v. Laureano Staropoli - This one is simple, if it stays on the feet for a majority of the fight Staropoli will out volume Dolidze on the feet. If Dolidze can get this to the mat he will probably find a sub or a good amount of control time. I lean to the side of Dolidze getting takedowns and finding a sub at some point. Dolidze is actually very high level on the mat and Staropoli has near to no ground game - Doldize via Round 2 sub
